Recently AppMakr launched a new feature: Socialize. This new introduction could be a game changer, bringing social back into mobile. Socialize adds a social overlay to the existing app-making framework. It outfits creators with a set of tools so they can understand and connect with their app users. Think of it this way: within each and every app, there’s a community of users. Those users have never been able to socialize with each other—it’s as if everyone is in a big room but the lights are off. The Socialize platform ‘turns the lights on’ in each mobile app and lets its community of passionate users rally around the core content of each app. The Interest Graph they’re creating around each app has the potential power of the Social Graph you know and love from Facebook. The Socialize layer will automatically be built into every new app made using AppMakr. They launched with over 150 apps using the Socialize functionality.
Socialize is initially being launched into every app made by AppMakr as a showcase, and then turned loose on the world for any developer to put into their apps. They offer a ‘honey pot’ to the developer by raising their apps’ engagement levels and ad monetization (CPM) rates, as well as to end users by unleashing the community hiding in the app, owning the ‘beehive’ of data created by each app running Socialize.
Update:
Socialize is running in 242 apps since its launch 2 weeks ago. Over 4,000 user generated comments and 9,000 article likes since launch. They are seeing a 54% increase in app sessions for apps running Socialize. A video of Socialize in action at http://go.AppMakr.com/introducing-socialize
